LEAPS Suffolk
Our relationship with AU
As an AU provider we are grant funded and adhere to the guidelines set out by AU.
Overview of our organisation and the services we offer
We offer two fortnightly Saturday Clubs for children and young people with additional needs. The morning session is for children age 5 – 11 years, and the afternoon session is for young people age 12 – 20 years. We also offer Holiday clubs that run 9am – 3.30pm on select days in the school holidays. These are for children and young people with additional needs who are age 5 – 20 years. Both the Saturday and Holiday Clubs are based in the Ipswich IP2 area, and provide opportunities for children and young people to try various activities both indoor and outside, in a safe and secure environment.
We also offer ‘Out, Not In!’ which offers different community-based activities such as trips to bowling, the theatre, the zoo, cinema, or even a meal out. Each session is targeted at a different age range, but we aim to provide groups from childhood right through to adulthood.
In 2020 we are also starting to provide residentials/short holidays for young people + adults with additional needs. Keep an eye out for further information or contact Karen to register your interest.
