Our relationship with AU
Achieving Aspirations has worked closely with AU to develop and support a variety of different short break services. Our breaks are designed to enable children and young adults the opportunity to spend time away from home in a safe and relaxed environment which serves to help develop confidence and social skills. We provide both residential breaks and Holiday/Saturday club day time activities.
We rely upon feedback from young people, their families and professionals to help us to continually improve on the services that we are able to provide and offer.
We are a registered AU providers and hold their triple R quality assurance award.
Overview of our organisation and the services we offer
Achieving Aspirations has been providing short breaks in Suffolk since 2003. Our residential short breaks are registered with Ofsted in addition we provide a range of different day time short breaks to on Saturdays and School holidays. Our daystime clubs are provided in Bury St Edmunds and Felixstowe.
The sort of activities we offer
We offer three types of residential overnight breaks across three different locations in Suffolk and Essex, one of these overnight breaks are available through Activities Unlimited; Sleepover Club.
Membership to this club is thorugh our other daytime activity clubs where friendships have formed and a small group of friends would like the opportunity to sleep away from home. This can be provided in one of our registered provisions, supported by our qualified and experienced staff teams.
We provide a holiday club in two locations and a Saturday club in Felixstowe.
Our holiday clubs are structured to cater for young people with additional needs to enjoy a range of activities to keep them busy during the school holidays. These clubs are located in Felixstowe and Bury St Edmunds where we hold groups for ages 8-12 years and 12 -18 years, during each school holiday.
This 'lego club' runs the third Saturday in each month for young people ages 8-16 years. The club offers a variety of fun activities focussed on lego, and aims to promote fun, independence and allow the young people to make new friends.
