Our relationship with AU
Avenues East works closely with Activities Unlimited to provide a range of leisure and social activities throughout the year for people with disabilities or additional needs within Suffolk.
Our Teaming Up project is funded by Activities Unlimited and we work with them to identify new opportunities.
In order to attend all activities, on booking you will need to complete an annual self assessment and registration pack. Club and session fees are charged on a session by session basis.
Overview of our organisation and the services we offer
Our Community Support Services encourages and enables disabled people across Suffolk to take part in activities which help to improve their health, wellbeing, social skills and independence.
We do this by organising a range of activities, social clubs, short breaks and events throughout the year which provide a great deal of fun and enjoyment for people.

Avenues East is a subsidiary of the Avenues Group and an independent charity which has been making a difference to the lives of disabled people for over 30 years.
We support people across the East of England living with disabilities, illness or injury to live the best lives possible.
We work to provide people with the opportunities to play an active part in the local community and to help them recognise their equal right to take part in all aspects of everyday life.

How the activity is supported:
Qualified, experienced with up to date trained staff and volunteers providing group and one to one Support
Ratio of staff to children:
4:1 Group Support
Staff are trained to assist in the following:
- Managing a seizure
- Mobility assistance
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Disability awareness
- Sensory training
Support statement:
Supervision is provided. If you need dedicated 1-1 support please bring a carer.
Other specialist equipment available: Our activities take place in a range of venues but we always organise events that are accessible for most disabled people.
